Job Description

- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within his/her specialty.

- Managing and training any Demi-Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in the team.

- Helping the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus.

- Must ensure high standards of food hygiene and to follow the rules of food and safety.

- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

- Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef.

- Ability to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

- Responsible to supervise junior Chefs or Commis.

- Ensure that the production, preparation and food presentation are of the highest quality at all times.

- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.

- Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.

- Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and proper usage of equipment and utensils.

- Good communication with other chefs to ensure that the entire tasks and jobs have been completed as per the standard. 

- Reporting to the Sous Chef/Head Chef.

Job Requirments

- Experience in the UAE 

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the same position

- Fluent English language
