Young Entrepreneurs Exhibition concludes its first session at “Sharjah Ladies Club” with 15 participating innovative entrepreneurial projects

Sharjah Ladies Club concluded the first edition of the ‘YoungPreneur Fair’, which was held on the 17th and 18th of December at the Beach terrace at 4pm. The main aim of the fair was to provide a supportive and safe environment to encourage children between the ages 5 – 17 years old for girls and 5 – 8 years old for boys to get innovative and motivate them to start their own business. Guests were welcomed with numerous workshops and entertainment shows where they enjoyed their time and got to learn about the various participating projects.


The club dedicated the "Young Pioneer" award for the most unique business/product and the "Rising Star" award for the business with best sales. Valuable prizes were also presented to talented young entrepreneurs to encourage and support their innovative projects and help them get into the business world confidently.


A group of trainings and workshops were held during the fair, such as "Kite Making" and "Be an Entrepreneur" which focused on refining the tools of our future female entrepreneurs, presented by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation “Ruwad”. In addition to that, “IBTASIM Art Workshop” for children organized by Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and a workshop on designing small models for children organized by the Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD”, as well as a number of entertainment shows, and a talk on starting a business was hosted by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center - Sheraa.


The club's facilities offered exclusive prices on the club membership and selected services and products from Dalouk Wellness Spa and Orchid Beauty Boutique. Ice skating lessons for visitors of the fair were offered at a discounted price and a special discount was given to participating entrepreneurs who wish to register in the Winter Wonderland Camp.


In addition to allocating a children's corner at Basateen Preschool Center, which held various activities like arts and crafts, drawing, hair braiding, making accessories and more.


Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, said, “Planning and Organizing this fair time stems from the club’s vision and continuous efforts to support mothers and their children during seasonal breaks from school, encouraging their children to become distinguished entrepreneurs. Simultaneously working in line with the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah to always provide a stimulating environment for young entrepreneurs and to create a supportive platform in the field of commercial projects, we coordinated with our partners in the event, to organize workshops in arts and leadership and various dialogue sessions.”


She added, "We are pleased to launch the first fair for young entrepreneurs that contributes to the launch of their innovative projects, as 15 unique creative projects from various nationalities participated in this edition, most notably the youngest Emirati writer, Al Dhabi Almheiri, to encourage children to engage in this opportunity."


She praised the effective cooperation that took place between the club and supporting organizations of the fair, most notably Sharjah Girls Guide, Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation “Ruwad”, Sharjah Economic Development Department, and Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center – Sheraa, and the sponsors as well Al Futtaim – Lexus, Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club and Oli Oli.


The event served as an educational platform in the commercial field for all those interested in the entrepreneurship sector, to support their pioneering projects, enabling them to have a practical trading experience easily in a competitive environment that simulates the real world of business, giving them the opportunity to manage their small businesses, and instilling the spirit of entrepreneurship within them.
