Sharjah Ladies Club Branches in the central and eastern region celebrate the holy month of Ramadan

The branches of the Sharjah Ladies Club in the central and eastern Sharjah held a variety of activities and events within the agenda of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 2024, in Al Hamriya, Al Dhaid, Al Bataeh, Al Mudam, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Diba Al Hisn and Wadi Al Hilo, as part of the club’s keenness to revive these blessed days and promote religious values. The activities varied between sports classes, entertainment competitions, and Ramadan sessions, that targeted women, girls and children of all ages.

 

An agenda full of diverse events in the Central Sharjah

 

The agenda of the Al Hamriyah branch included a number of diverse activities, most notably the “Spring Adventures Camp” for children, which included artistic workshops, handicrafts, and physical activities with a distinctive Ramadan character, with the aim of improving children’s physical, creative, and intellectual skills.

 

The club also held a Ramadan evening that included a religious lecture, an artistic workshop, and health consultations from Damas Clinic.

 

The club’s branch in Al Dhaid City, in cooperation with the Department of Social Services and the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, organized its Ramadan evening, which included a religious lecture, a health lecture, medical examinations, and prizes and raffles for the attendees.

 

Ramadan Creations in Eastern Sharjah

 

Diba Al Hisn branch organized a number of lectures and competitions, including the “Spirit of Islam” program, which presents a number of topics, the most important of which are the stories of the prophets, morning and evening remembrances, the “Qatuf Imaniyah” program, for teaching the Qur’an, interpretation and intonation, and the “Welcome Ramadan” event, which included a religious lecture,  entertainment competitions, and a corner for Marasi Restaurant.

 

In turn, the Wadi Al Hilo Women’s Club focused on taking advantage of the times of the holy month by organizing the “Meeting and Elevation” forum in cooperation with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, which included a religious dialogue session, Ramadan competitions and challenges. The branch also held the Kalba Ramadan Festival, which included sections of sports and health advice to help members and attendees. To maintain their physical fitness during the month of Ramadan.

 

The Khorfakkan branch’s Ramadan program included an event entitled “Winning Acts in Ramadan,” which included a religious lecture and draws for prizes for attendees.

 

In the city of Kalba, the club’s activities began by organizing the Holy Qur’an competition in its eighth session, which aims to encourage women, girls and children to memorize the Holy Qur’an. This initiative targeted more than 100 women and girls, and participants will also have the opportunity to win a prize at the end of the competition, which is supervised by a specialized committee.

 

As part of the Ramadan program, the branch cooperated with the Sharjah Institute for Heritage to organize a lecture delivered by heritage expert Professor Aisha Al-Bairaq.
