Sharjah Ladies Club and its Branches Offered Diverse Events for Emirati Women's Day

A decade after Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, declared August 28th as Emirati Women's Day, the UAE continues to emphasize the vital connection between empowering Emirati women and fostering peace, prosperity, and an equitable society.  

In line with these efforts, Sharjah Ladies Club and its eight branches in the central and eastern regions celebrated Emirati Women's Day by organizing a variety of engaging events, including workshops, inspirational talks, fitness activities, and special offers.

Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, emphasized the importance of Emirati Women's Day as an occasion to honor and celebrate Emirati women and their achievements in all fields, especially in leadership roles, contributing to the progress of the country.

Al Serkal noted, 'Aligned with the club's responsibilities and the visionary guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club, we are committed to empowering Emirati women to take on leadership roles in our nation's development. We achieve this by providing them with a unique and comprehensive environment that enhances their skills through various programs, events, and services.'"

The main club hosted various events, starting with "Fitness 180 Center" function on August 28th, which includes a motivational talk with the instructor Manal Abdullah covering the fitness achievements of Emirati women, as well as group fitness classes to encourage movement and physical activity.

An inspirational talk, also was organized in collaboration with the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the importance of Emirati Women's Day with Her Excellency Najla Ali Al Shamsi, a member of the Federal National Council. The session will be held on August 29th, highlighting the importance of Emirati women's representation in the council and their pivotal role in building a new generation capable of facing challenges and achieving stability.

Preserving the Emirati heritage, the club organized a weaving workshop by Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council on August 29th.

With the support of our key partners, "Al Nabooda Automobiles Audi" and Faridah Ajmal Perfumes LLC and "Najmat Al Safa", the event was set to achieve remarkable outcomes.

The club's facilities are providing special offers during the celebration, with exclusive offers on the club’s annual membership, along with wellness offers from Dalouk Wellness Spa and specialized themed cakes from Lafeef Restaurant and Collage Cafe.

In celebration of this occasion, Sharjah Ladies Club Branches participated by organizing a range of unique events and offers. Kalba branch organized a fun-filled day for women, including creative workshops, fun cultural competitions and an inspirational talk.

Meanwhile, Wadi al Hilo branch arranged a talking session titled "A Woman's Journey to Excellence" by lawyer Sheikha Al Kindi and Dr. Fatima Al Sha'er. Additionally, a decoupage candles workshop was held at " Diba Al Hisn" branch.

Additionally, special offers for beauty and hair care were provided at Joori Beauty Center in " Al Hamriyah" and "Al Dhaid" branches and Orchid Center at Al Madam branch. Along with offers from fitness centers, Olympic swimming pools, and "Marasi Restaurant” in all its branches.
