In October, the color pink carries a message that reminds every woman that her health deserves to be a top priority, and that prevention starts with a simple step that can make a meaningful difference. Driven by Sharjah Ladies Club’s belief in the importance of this step, the Club and its branches will take part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month through the “Inspired in Pink” initiative, featuring a range of health, awareness, and fitness activities.
Her Excellency Sheikha Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Ladies Club, said: “This initiative reflects the Club’s commitment to raising women’s awareness of the importance of prioritizing their health and self-care, in line with the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Family and Community Council, to support women and enhance their quality of life. We believe that every step towards prevention contributes to a healthier and more fulfilling life.”
The main branch of Sharjah Ladies Club is organizing the initiative in collaboration with Medcare Sharjah Hospital, with the support of Flormar Cosmetics, Grand Rose Flowers, and ADNOC. The activities will kick off on 1 October at Kunooz Hospitality & Events, featuring free clinical screenings from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., along with a women’s health awareness session from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The programme, taking place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., features a range of activities hosted by the Club’s facilities, addressing different aspects of women’s lives. These include “Your Energy in Pink”, organized by the 180° Layaqa Fitness Centre, which combines bootcamp and Zumba workouts, and “Your Beauty, a Lasting Impact”, an initiative by Orchid Beauty Centre that gives women the opportunity to contribute to a story of giving and hope through hair donation.
Lafeef Restaurant will also offer a selection of healthy meals and beverages, while Dalouk Wellness Spa will provide complimentary consultations. As part of the Club’s commitment to creating a comfortable and well-rounded experience for both mothers and children, Basateen Preschool Center will provide a dedicated children’s corner where little ones can enjoy a fun and safe time. This will allow mothers to make the most of the screenings and services available during the event with comfort and peace of mind.
The “Inspired in Pink” initiative will continue across the Club’s branches throughout October. Sharjah Ladies Club – alHamriya branch will host awareness sessions delivered by NAMA Foundation and the Ministry of Health and Prevention, while al Dhaid branch will offer medical screenings, an educational workshop, competitions and giveaways, as well as a communal breakfast, in collaboration with Itmi’nan Foundation.

In this context, Moudi Al Jabri, Head of Business Development at Sharjah Ladies Club’s branches, said:
“When developing the programme, we were keen to ensure that each activity offers women a different experience and that the initiative goes beyond awareness alone. This is why we have included a diverse range of activities, from screenings and fitness to beauty and workshops, with the participation of several health and community organizations, so that every woman can find something that aligns with her interests and encourages her to take part.”
“Inspired in Pink” transforms Pink October into more than just a colour; it is an opportunity for women to listen to their needs and give their health the attention it deserves. Because self-care starts with a single step, and that step could be the beginning of a lasting impact.
